Frances McDormand won the ‘best actress’ Academy Award for her performance in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri on Sunday night. But soon, she realized that her precious trophy went missing. McDormand was spotted crying emotionally outside the ball after giving up the search for the statuette on the premises and departing with her husband, filmmaker Joel Coen.
A 47-year-old man named Terry Bryant was arrested for the same. He stole Frances McDormand’s The Best Actress Oscar trophy at the 90th Academy Awards Governors Ball. Public Information Officer Norma Eisenman confirmed that Terry Bryant has been arrested and he is in the process of being booked for grand theft. The Associated Press later reported he is being held on $20,000 bail. Bryant was detained by security guards at the event and arrested by Los Angeles police officers. The trophy was later returned to McDormand.
