Hyderabad will host the 20th edition of the International Children Film Festival in November. The week-long festival will be held from November 8 to 14 at Shilpakala Vedika.
Information and Public Relations Department Commissioner Navin Mittal on Friday held a preliminary meeting with the Film Development Corporation and Children Film Society officials and reviewed the arrangements to be made for the successful conduct of the biennial film festival.
He asked the FDC and CFSI officials to conduct a joint inspection of the theatres and said 12 theatres in the city should be reserved for the festival. The festival will also be organized in all the districts.
A media center will also be set up for the purpose. Accommodation for foreign and child delegates, reservation of preview theatres for Jury screenings, identification of child delegates, foreign delegates and other dignitaries, the constitution of various functional committees and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
